I'm glad Alfa didn't change too much of the styling. It's still the best looking saloon on the market 😄

I've had a 2018 model veloce for the last 3 and half years, after driving a c300. I haven't looked back, drives so well and still looks stunning

All my mates said I should’ve got a BMW, Audi or Mercedes. But I’m so happy I wasn’t a sheep and followed behind everybody else. I honestly love my Alfa, and I get more comments from random strangers that admire the car, It’s definitely a special car. I can’t see myself purchasing anything else, but an Alfa in the future. I still remember taking the car for a test drive and hitting the first roundabout and my first thoughts were oh my God, the steering is unbelievable…..

I drive a 2021 Giulia and everywhere I go people love it, so in that respect it's not underrated at all...but you're right that few people buy one. Maybe most people really do want the 76 shades of ambient lighting and the fanciest infotainment.

One benefit I didn't expect when I got my Giulia is that I seem to have entered a club. Giulia drivers wave at each other when we pass by!

I've been driving my Giulia Veloce 280 hp for almost 5 years now. My last car was BMW 630i and there's no looking back. The daily joy of driving is incomparable to the stupid BMW I gladly ditched. Indeed, the car is underrated but this gives us, all Alfa lovers, the luxury or rarity.

A good honest review of the Giulia Veloce, I purchased a 2018 model, 2 years ago, I have not had a single problem. Alfa Romeo have created a beautiful and reliable performance family car, the best car in this category by a mile. well done Alfa Romeo.

Had a Ti Sport for three years and it was totally reliable. Stunning chassis, quick steering, sports car handling in a 4 door sedan. And no ugly tablet stuck on the dash. Infotainment was fine btw.

Great review and I actually have to agree with most of what you've said. Other than the interior, as personally I actually like the decluttered approach alfa decided to take. It feels more like a timeless interior to me than that of the competition - sticking an ipad onto a dash.

I have put 120, 000 miles on my guilia (base model 200hp), and although I have to agree about the stock 2L engine and gearbox, I have had mine tuned by celtic (324hp). It now runs smoother than before through the gears also (I have done over 30, 000 with the tune).

Just replace the stock battery as anyone will tell you in the forums, this car is not a driveway princess. It needs to be driven regularly and preferably kept on a trickle charger if you can. Most of the issues are related to the batteries going wrong.

As for the car itself I genuinely can't describe how happy it makes me everytime I see it parked up, or am behind the wheel. I'm not typically what you would consider a materialistic person at all, I'm just into my cars and that's my thing I guess.

If what you want is smile per mile then this car quite frankly is in my opinion going to be one of the last affordable daily drivers cars ever made. If you're on the edge about getting one due to "reliability issues" then go drive one. Most modern cars will have technical faults soon after release, BMW ironically being far worse for recals yet has a stronger brand name.

I am almost certain the Guilia will be a future classic as it has the performance and the environmental credentials that I believe will be needed to run a car in the future. As well as the safety and automated features. Put it this way, I won't be driving anything else as a daily as far as I can tell other than possibly upgrading to the QV model once they have depreciated further.

Just book a test drive, honeslty lifes too short.

What a great and honest review!
The Alfa Giulia is the best car in its category, best design, and best driving experience.

There are many reasons I got my 2020 Giulia. This video encapsulates everything I like about it. I’ve been in the entry level C300 and 3 series. They just don’t give me the emotion and performance I wanted. “How emotional can a 4 banger be?” Well not much, but everything else about the Giulia gives me that. It’s looks, handling, simple yet stylish interior, and uniqueness on the road really sold me😊Owned it for almost a year now, zero issues, zero shop visits just regular maintenance. People need to get over the Alfa reliability stigma. Have you been at a BMW dealer? They are packed with cars in the shop. All these entry level luxury cars are similar in reliability. Just try them all out. Maybe the Giulia will surprise you.

The Giulia was the best car I’ve ever owned. Never had an issue. They need a better dealer network.

Most people buy a car for the badge and not what's underneath the panels

The Giulia is an absolute cracker now. A proper driver's car and its different and beautiful all at the same time. A future classic. Driving it is an event and when you walk away from it you cannot help yourself by looking back at it. Just wonderful in every way.

Agree with you. I have a 2022 Giulia and love it. Best driving experience I've owned.

I watched James' long term ownership videos on the Giulia as they were being released last year so it's awesome to see him again in another channel to sing the praises of the car

I leased a 2018 Giulia Veloce in Misano blue and had optional yellow callipers and 19” dark hole alloys . Everywhere I went i got compliments and it just gave you a warm fuzzy feeling. I have to admit I prefer the early headlights with the angry brow DRLs but it still looks a gorgeous car .

Been driving 2019 Veloce for over a year now, and it is safe to say that it is one of the best handling sport saloons on the market!
Not to mention the looks and feel that this car provides every time you drive it. Absolutely sweet!

I had a 2017 Giulia on a 27 months lease before; absolutely love the car - it is the real "ultimate driving machine" within the small sedan category, and this is coming from a guy who is a BMW fan and currently drives a M4 F82. I miss my Giulia!

This Giulia is gonna be remembered for years to come.

When the whole electrification thing gets real, we'll look back to this masterpiece with longing and admiration.
