"Microphone mode" is when you use the XLR input. When you use the Jack input, it's either line or Hi-Z (Inst). You use Inst when it's a passive instrument, and line when it's an active instrument.

Short and sweet!

Btw, I used those Beyerdynamic cans when I worked at WMCU Radio in Miami. They sound great, but i hated the way they easily stained from natural skin oil exposure.

We ended up buying a new set six of them and assigned them to staff to keep. I think we left the guests headphones as Sony MDR7506.

I used to have so much trouble mixing bass until I started using different ratios on each DI copy and loaded them with different plugins and EQs and everything

I do that... but then, I am getting addicted to reamping lately so I use one of my Samson C02 Mics on my Vox Pathfinder for Bass and Boss Katana Head / Cab for Guitars.

You can use a DI aswell if your plugging directly into the mixer

Hi Kyle great video can you possibly explain the difference in modes for the interface or mixing console specifically line level or is that the same as microphone mode? Thanks for the awesome videos !

can you do this without the interface? say, with an adapter, where you plug the quarter inch into it and then plug the adapter into the computer?

How do you control other things like tone, or effects if I have a Fuzz and compressor, for example?
