This Advent our theme is “Journey to Bethlehem.” The first figure to accompany us along the way is the prophet Isaiah. His word is one of Hope. But this is not a naive hope. Isaiah speaks also of judgment, of joy, and of fear. In other words, he speaks straight to the heart of today.
