Hello, if a pt was dx’d with an acute lower GI bleed and then had a colonoscopy and results only showed moderate diverticulosis, some internal non bleeding hemorrhoids - any idea as to what would the initial cause of the bleeding would be? Can diverticulosis cause an acute GI bleed after straining/heavy lifting? Or would diverticulosis cause spontaneous bleeding? Thank you.
