Words always fail to express my admiration for this woman.But lemme try my best on why deepika deserves all the success she got and be the No1 heroine of Hindi film industry...PS im an international fan from AFRICA.
1-The person who she was and the person who she became:-well one thing that one could literally agree is that she has a good upbringing thanks to her parents but the most fascinating thing is that her upbringing gave her the strength to always remain grounded and never to be hit by either her past failures or her current success. so basically she knows who she was and never forgets the struggles she went through so for every one who knows her shes the same strong beautiful also shy and weird at times like its always her self and never tries to be any one! And i think thats a big lesson one can learn from NEVER FORGET WHO U WERE!!!
2-Her entrance to the industry ALONE and making it BIG:-Well as an audience through time we started learning on how one faces a big challenge to make it in BW unless they are backed by some mentor or unless they come from film fraternity...well thinking about that i always was amazed on how dedicated she was to face those challenges as i heard from one of her interviews she said "I CAME TO MUMBAI WITH JUST A SUITCASE AND A DREAM"...its known her journey wasnt all planned and backed by some mentor or godfather...she did modelling then faced rejections and even after her first film she didnt get the backup as she was all by herself and critics tried to write her off and was told that her dreams dont work for her BUT guess what as she said through hardwork dedication and discipline she didnt just faced her challenges....she faced it fighted it alot then end up being a champion!!!
3-Her acting prowess and How she hunted the thing called"TALENT":-Deepikas fimography by default wasnt interesting at the start even after her successful debut she was still young and didnt get someone to guide her and back her up so she ended up joining lame movies and started to be called out by critics that she dont have the range of an actress BUT again its DEEPIKA so she really started working on it that she landed on a film that most know it as a career changing moment named COCKTAIL....She played her character VERONICA with utmost perfection with the right emotion conveyance and knowing that she was COMPLETELY different from her real personality she proved every one that how big her range is as an actor and showed every one theirs an untapped potential in her..after that she was started to be seen seriously by the industry and grabbed eye balls of amazing directors all ON HER OWN! 2013 also known as DEEPIKA'S YEAR was the year that we saw what VERSATILITY an actor could bring in a span of 1 year...Naina, LEELA, MEENAMA...three extremely different characters that needed huge emotional invest was single handedly and successfully pulled of by deepika...she wowed every one with each characters and were commercially successful to that it made her called "THE NEW QUEEN OF BOLLYWOOD" and rightfully so! Then it was all glory for her as she continued playing iconic roles and each with rich emotions played with perfection...THE GRACEFUL AND FEISTY WARRIOR MASTANI, THE SELFLESS TARA, THE MODERN AND INTELLIGENT PIKU...THE EPITOME OF RESILIENCE PADMAVATI...are some. As once Ranbir kapoor said "TALENT WAS NOT WITH DEEPIKA SHE HUNTED IT!!!"
4-Her philanthropy and her take on changing the world:-Many might thought deepikas philanthropy is only on mental health which is HUGE..but before that many might not know that she have adopted a WHOLE VILLAGE and helped a whole community...In 2014 her careers high point she was diagnosed with clinical depression many thought how and why BUT the fact that it happened to some one as big as deepika is an answer by it self!
After battling and winning her fight with it she thought with the huge reach she has talking about it and coming out could take the conversation around mental health and depression to whole new level so she DID! following her coming out many people started saying it also happened to me, i am not alone and started coming out with their story too....she didnt want this topic to become a one time topic so she ended up creating a WHOLE FOUNDATION named LIVE LOVE LAUGH and started to reach out to more people and helped them. For her resilient dedication and for the changes she brought she was credited with the most prestigious crystal award and even featured on most influential Time100 list....
