To be sure there is an issue try mounting the focus motor above the lens so that the focus rotation is revered, this just eliminates the issue being with your lens and focus gear. If you still have the issue then you've confirmed it :)

So this isn't the one being shipped out but just the prototype right? I have mine being shipped at the moment.
