Been cutting my own hair at home for 10+ years without this plastic tool. And my kids' too. I can now give military style hair cuts to my boys and layers and bangs to my girls. I can do a basic cut on myself or layers. My last one was a very long shag that was so cute.

As a previous hair stylist I would like to note that I had to fix haircuts that people decided to do at home with this gadget multiple times. Unless they have fixed all of the bugs in it which it does not look like they have I do not recommend getting this at all. Unless you like looking like you got into a fight with a lawn mower.

I am convinced that cutting your own hair is a lot better than going to a hairdresser. The amount of times I’ve gone and they’ve cut too much off or absolutely ruined my hair every time and I never got what I wanted. So I’ve been cutting my hair after I watched tutorials and I have never wasted money again. Best decision every time!

I was in Canterbury recently and went past a hairdresser's. They wanted £ 60 for a standard cut and £70 onwards for senior stylists. I use my local Turkish Barber who cut my hair really well and charged £15.

They make you look down then cut a straight line in a salon, unless you're getting a bob.

I started cutting my own hair at 14 because that's the reality for a lot of low income families, i want very good at it when i started out but now I'm very good at cutting my own hair, i even do my fiances now (we both have hair on the "longer" side) and I'll likely do it for our daughter too when she gets here next month

I have my husband trim my hair every 10 weeks or so. He capes me, combs out my elbow length hair, sections it, pins it up and then lets it down in increments to trim manageable amounts of hair. By doing it that way, the lower layers get the split and damage removed, rather than continuing to split and move up the shaft, causing my hair to thin out. Great job every time, never a bad haircut or cut too short like they do at the salon.

Better than a few months ago, i had hair as long as yours, the hairdresser butched my hair all uneven choppy didnt copy the pictures. I showed him at all just hacked it all off... years of growing my hair. He said a trim i said yes we both agreed in just a trim he cut 7 inches off. I had to go to another salon to get it done again, cost me £104 that month... and it's very hard when you have a toddler to do anything they dont think about what someone's going through either just got out ofann abusive relationship 😡😡😡😢

For all those hairdressers in the comment, I hope u do ur job better than some did with my hairs.
Because I won't go into any salon anymore since I was 18.
I was ALWAYS disappointed by the result.
I'm sure I'm not so good at cuting my own hair but it's fine I keep my money and I'm no more disappointed.
They just traumatized me a lot.
Enter with just a trimming need and go out with playmobil hairstyle.
