Photographing Don Quijotes Windmills

The second part of our trip to Castilla La Mancha and we are in Consuegra. On a hill over looking the small town are 12 windmills, supposedly the windmills that Don Quijote (or Quixote) believed were giants and that coined the phrase 'Tilting at Windmills'.

We are here for one night and so I plan a sunset shoot and a dawn shoot. What I didn't plan on was the wind, and the challenges it presented.

I think we should change your name to "Don Quixote " Goldsmith. While you weren't tilting at windmills, you were sure SHOOTING at them. LOL! All kidding aside I absolutely loved both shots, and I'm green with envy. While on a trip a few years ago to Mykonos, I was looking forward to getting a couple of shots of their famous windmills. It turned out that the tour I was on did not offer an opportunity and I had to get a very long distance shot. In any case, your shots were SUPERB !
