For a PS2 game they did an amazing job. The graphics, the music, the dialogue, hell even the way they hid the loading was great for 2001.

I get so much nostalgia from this game it actually hurts. I absolutely adore the world design and the variety of different areas you visit throughout the game. Each area had its own distinct look and feel.

I was a poor kid growing up, often played on other kids playstations and my mothers boyfriends PS2s, until i got my 1st playstation2 slim in 2006, i was the happiest kid ever, ive asked for a PS2 everytime i was asked what i wanted for my birthday or christmas, i had only a select few of games and Jak and Daxster was my 1st one, and i loved it, i first started playing it in 2002, and never completed it until 2009 because i was too young to focus on the missions, so ive spent countless hours and hours longer than a normal kid would, roaming around and playing this game, so my point is, you can only imagine the nostalgia i get from seeing and hearing this shit, makes me sad honestly, i wish i could go back, even though me and my family were never in good times, i still looked at the world differently, im 25 now, and as more time goes on, the more i lose that sparkle in my eyes, and the motivation for the future, this game is a reminder of simple, innocent times, not having a care in the world and not knowing what time it was, because it didnt matter, i had no obligations or responsibilities. Ugh

I remember being 4 or 5 when I first played this game and absolutely fell in love with it, I played it over and over and never got bored of it. I remember getting so nervous at the end boss battle and when I finally beat it, it was the greatest feeling in the world. This game was truly magic!

Jak and daxter trilogy will always be one of my top series of videogames I've ever played.
I can replay it anytime and won't be bored.
They don't make games like this anymore sadly ...

Guys, can you believe this game came out way back in 2001? 21 years ago. Despite being over two decades old, it's still great to see and play, so much so that I still play it today and prefer it to a lot of PS4 games. A perfect game that never gets boring and never gets old. I love It.

I played this game on ps2 when I was 5-8, I'm 14 now and just beat the first game in two sittings and I'm 60% through the 2nd one in two sittings. Man all the nostalgia of all the dialogue, sound tracks, controls, missions, enemies, and allies is really just something. In the beginning when Daxter falls into the dark eco and Samos is scolding him I remembered all of the dialogue word for word from 6 years ago. I would get home from elementary school and play this game all day, go to bed, wake up, play it for 30 minutes, go to school, come back, and play until bed time. This game was my entire gaming life up until my parents bought a pc back in 2014.

When this game came out, my friend and I couldnt believe that we were playing this on a ps2! It was state-of-the-art! So many great memories. Oh, and the Ico demo. Amazing times!
