Well technically anemo doesn't fit in this category. Anemo often just swirl to shred resistances and leave (except other cases when it needs to be always on field). So anemo don't need much applications, it more about crowd control capabilities.

Let's all remember that application doesn't neccesarily mean bad, it's just that they don't apply their element to their enemy very fast. Cheveruse is a very meta support in overload teams for example as she doesn't need to be applying pyro herself on those teams, and Chori may be the best Geo applicator yes but at C0 she's not that great as a dps or sub-dps

Okay I have a LOT to say about this short.

One thing that would maybe help discussion on this matter is distinguishing between AOE and single target application. Some characters are really good at one or the other, and both single target focused application and AOE application can be useful for different I noticed a lot of comments about Fischl. She’s my favorite electro! I love Fischl! Is she the best electro applicator? Well, she’s a GOOD electro applicator. She’s more used for aggravate as her SINGLE target application with her skill is good, and she can use her burst to do some AOE electro, which some people use to make some hyper blooms. So she can be fairly flexible, but the same could be said about Keqing. Keqing can do single target and AOE, so can raiden. It could help focus discussion better and be more objective if we had different categories like:
Single target
AOE
Overall.

Also, I’m a venti main. Let me do my spiel. Kazuha is a decent candidate here, I would like to point out I have both characters. There are times I prefer Kazuha (against bosses) and times I want to use venti (against mobs) if I had to say who’s better overall just an an applicator, I think I might go with venti in a best case scenario for him. If you manage to hit his burst perfectly, which can be difficult at times.

Also let’s consider that some elements have lots of very good applicators. Anemo honestly has a lot of great applicators. Sayu dan roll around and apply anemo a lot. Anemo traveler can still hit skill in a small AOE, and the burst applies anemo in an AOE too! I think probably Lynette is the worst overall, and she isn’t even a bad anemo applicator! It’s hard too, because Lynette’s burst will last longer than anemo traveler…

I found it VERY interesting that most of the cryo application discussion has purely been about 4 stars lol! That goes to show 4 stars can be awesome! I don’t feel like I can offer too much in the cryo department though, but Rosaria does have decent cryo application, but it just seems like Ayaka would at least be worth considering?

I think Xingqiu and Yelan (I have both) are both great hydro applicators! They could almost tie, but I do think XQ could barely beat Yelan out.

It’s kinda awesome that this video could be correct that Kirara could be the worst dendro applicator, if that’s true then WOW, dendros are truly butt different, because Kirara isn’t even a bad dendro applicator lol!

Almost 5 years and people (some old players too) are still learning about ICD and elemental application units. Idk if i should cry or laugh
