Quick question Professor: I been a driver for 7 years. They used to rerun our background checks without deactivating us. What made Uber and Lyft start pausing our accounts for a pending background check? They used to NOT do this. And I have proof of that. Here in Chicago they started doing this without warning last year at the height of the pandemic. The reason I stopped being a UberWav driver.

My problem with lyft is they deactivated my app pending my background check. Been driving for them 4 years. They should have kept my app active pending the background check being completed by the third party. Another reason to drive for uber too.

It took Uber 2 days to get the background check I have been driving almost 5 years. They used to do the background check and you still could drive now this is the 2nd time they shut me off till checker got done

Feb 3 I was told my background check was out of date. I have driven rideshare for 6 years with the same company. Feb. 10 I was informed Checkr had completed my check. Any check should not be beyond a few past years since the company knows all older stuff. No authority to drive as of 2/11/24

This video is 2 years old however Uber is still playing this game it happened to me recently I'm still waiting to get things fixed they told me that they're working on it and the problem is a California law that they go through to check if I qualify to do this gig work however something came back my driver license doesn't match with the information Uber has?😢

Yeah, I'm done playing games with checkr. Pieces of crap. ... blaming courts. I was approved to drive for Uber for a couple days, then now checkr saying my criminal back ground check isn't done.

It's been almost 2 months. I've been through a ton of checks, they don't take this long.

Been waiting on a background check for instacart for 2 months. The customer service rep just keeps copy & paste the same response. Say they are escalating my account look for an email which I haven’t received. One rep even told me other reps are deleting the emails to activate my account to trust and safety because I didn’t give the previous rep a good review. Why would I give a good review when they aren’t helping log on to the platform? Make it make sense.

So Uber deactivated my account on March 3, and then they reactived. Now, they have run my background check 3 to 4 times in one month. I keep getting emails they running background check over again. Should I do this because I have lost money for 2.5 weeks. Can I get back pay?
