So it isn't contradictory as long as you assume that "they said nothing to anyone" means "they waited about 5 minutes before saying something to someone, " and we should assume this because... the alternative is really contradictory. Flawlessly logical, I admire your mind.

You people and your bible. You pick and choose what is meant literally and what is open to interpretation, and it's different for everyone. At this point, the book has no meaning at all.
