Sometimes, the urge to do something bad overcomes us, or we do not think about the consequences of our actions. Either way, whenever our behaviour is deemed undesirable, we are punished. Punishments keep us in line and are supposed to make us reflect on our actions. The place where punishments are common is in schools; from nursery all the way through to university. Punishments in schools is a large area of dispute and has been for decades. However, every country is different and hence, each of them has a different way to punish their students.
