Canon 5D Mark iii Video Test #3

The third video test produced using the Canon 5D Mark 3. Simple shots taken in succession to test the video capabilities of the camera.

You were right about "medium jpegs". For the first time ever I successfully brought a batch of photos (in the form of a clip), into my timeline. It was pretty damn exciting.

In this video I made the mistake (again) of over sharpening, here and there. I also made the mistake of trying to breath new life into my Minolta 200mm lens. I used it in several clips on this test video. It sucks. Massive vignetting, distortion, and just doesn't react well with the camera. Live and learn.

Well, at the very least, the new import method should make your life easier in a big way.

I didn't notice anything that stood out as unpleasantly over sharpened.

Look into that Nikkor 300mm (f/4.5 ED-IF) I recommended some time back. That lens has never yet done anything less than impress the hell out of me.

@GretaBuena We didn't even lose power here during that big storm last year, thankfully. The real threat here are tornados. Being from Maine and not having lived here in Maryland very long tornadoes are something I never have a second thought to.

Point Lookout SP. Yea, it's a left turn out of my dooryard, keep going straight until the fishing pier appears. We car camp there sometimes because it's close, and quiet.

Thanks! This beach is easy to find. Turn left out of my driveway, and go straight until you reach a fishing pier. Beach galore. In the form of Point Lookout State Park.
