I think this trend would soon be common in SOME asian countries. Since social media shows too much ideal life, all the young people will tend to focus on their career, because you can only get those life/success you see on sns by working (unless you're a chaebol or something) aside from that, theres also pressure and demands from older people (parents, bosses and the likes) to be excellent that weighs down younger people. Why bother having a family when I (a young person) can barely have time for myself? (bc of study/work)

How can they have kids when, most of the young children are becoming idols and since small days the toxicity of netizens saying not to get married fall in love or have children. And when they do they receive death threats and hate for it 😔

In social media, in Indonesia, more Korean male marry Indonesian female and live in Indonesia. It seems some male Korean still want to have better life, but not in their own country.

Worldwide. There will not be enough adults to cover up labour force needed for the current economy system. That's why I am not scared about improvement and automatization.

The same issue is happening in China and Japan. If you’re always working how can you have kids? These folks have too much pressure put on them to be perfect. Something has got to give.

Women in countries with high education and MORE EQUALITY and SOCIAL/WORK BENEFITS are actually having more babies.

Essentially, if we ensure that women and their work is valued as equal to that of men, and benefits like longer maternity and paternity leaves, working moms are more accepted, women are paid fairly and equally, and better daycare and healthcare is provided, and socially a culture of treating women and men as truly equal when it comes to domestic duty, women and men will feel encouraged to have children.

We (everyone everywhere) cannot force people to have children. We also should not punish women for having children - women often see their independence and financial situation worsen after having children, which is absolutely not acceptable. Building a world where men and women feel comfortable being themselves and live a happy life is the best way to encourage population growth.

I have few south Korean friends..and they didn't even want to get married..I mean it's okay it's their private thing..but everyone needs a old-age happy life... This may be the reason Poverty among Old age people is common in Korea...my friends are busy working 24×7

I think that's why in the future there will be a lot of Mixed koreans people. Koreans would marry a foreigner that cares about having a family and probably not having such social pressure and toxic lifestyle to raise children like Korea.
