Although they look cute and cuddly, they're far from it. My cousin almost got it from a pack of them. She was kneeling down in her garden and this alpha male got within 10 feet of her. She didn't even know she was being stalked. Her husband happened to look out saw it and grabbed his rifle. He took out the alpha and the rest took off running. She won't go outside anymore without her German Shepherds.

There is a video here on YouTube of a coyote that stalks a neighborhood and eats cats. They got it on video carrying a dead cat across a yard. Suddenly it stops and just chomps the cat down in a few bites. The only thing it left was the head and it pissed on that before it walked off.

I will say this, they definitely can be domesticated if you get em as pups. I dated this girl for awhile and the first time I went over to her house her dog walked up to me while we were standing in her garage talking. I instinctively reach down to pet him. I did so for a couple of minutes while she and I talked. I finally looked at her dog and realized that it was actually a coyote. Lol

After the state game commission released a few 40 years ago to 'handle the deer problem', we have had nothing but escalating trouble. If you live within10 miles of a game reserve or national forest you saw them decimating the small game, the smaller predators and chase off the deer and elk. In the meantime they are after pets and small livestock. There are at least three main packs on a circuit now. They attacked a friend's spring lambs one year after killing his last herd dog.

Gotta be careful. Some coyotes stalked a mom and her baby in my neighborhood and thank god two asphalt driveway workers took em out cause they are wild.
