What They Don't Tell you About Married Life

While we are so incredibly grateful for all of the gifts out family and friends have sent us, having to unbox them all at once has been kind of overwhelming.
You're wedding is a magical day, but it doesn't really magically change anything in your relationship. Getting back to normal life after our wedding has been tough. We took time off of work, we got to see people we haven't seen in years and now don't know when we will see again the next time! It all happens so fast that you wake up afterward and wonder if it even happened or if it was all one big dream.
After spending a year planning this huge event and coordinating travel plans with people it all kind of goes silent all at once. Having a DIY wedding means I now have tons of boxes I have to figure out what to do with too. While we are so happy and grateful to have such an amazing time with all of our loved ones, going back to real life is just a weird transition.
Now we have to make sure we stay in touch with friends without the wedding as an excuse to reach out, connect with people and make plans to visit without a big event as a goal post, and make magic moments together in our relationship now that there is not a "big day" to gush over and look forward to.
