The world’s largest 3D printer, which has been acquired by the University of Maine, will enable the rapid creation of large products for the Soldier and will bolster the already strong collaborative relationship between the University of Maine and the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command Soldier Center. The S-280, a vehicle mounted shelter being printed in this video, is the very first 3D-printed, full-scale shelter. It was printed at the University of Maine in 48 hours, which is significantly faster than other methods of construction. This new 3D printing capability will enable Army scientists and engineers to prototype and evaluate new technologies early in the technology development process , helping to accelerate the process and deliver new critical capabilities to Soldiers more rapidly. This is what I have been waiting for. Thank you. Made a doctrine for it, more than 15 years ago. Mark my words; this example represents the successful future military force design.

You should make mini-mini-gun LMG for the soldiers. Saw a video and the current LMG is dominating enough if a few soldiers add a new mini-gun LMG they could suppress and rip there buildings to shreds and finish it off with the new grenade launcher. I light weight enhanced strength polymer exoskeleton with the third arm for recoil and weight and the new Revision helmet and suit that protects 60% of the body. Is what the ground soldiers need. So they dominate and decimate.

Very impressive and well done! Though it is not accurate to call it "first" 3D shelter or "biggest" printer. Maybe in Maine but not the world.
