This video was very helpful. I understood the basic idea of NAT but always wondered how the router converted the public IP address to private when multiple devices are on the local network. Thank you Professor Messer, these are fantastic series.

Dose the router save the private ip address as a header so when the router start decrypting the packet it know what is the original ip or dose is save it in the cache memory?

I was helping a client with their PCI compliance the other day. I was helping them set up a external vulnerability scan on their public IP address. She said she didn't have one so I basically had to explained NAT to her. I thought it was kind of funny haha.

if i send anything to the server, ISP can see what i send ? because the public ip it gave me from them or the packet is encrypted ..
