In 2020 RMC (Rocky Mountain Construction) completed the I-Box track conversion of the park's Gwazi wooden coaster, but the opening was delayed until 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The hybrid steel coaster features a 206 foot (63m) tall 91° drop, a 540 roll, an inverted camelback stall and huge overbanked curve - all while reaching speeds up to 76 mph (122.5 km/h) along 4,075 feet (1,242m) of track.
This Busch Gardens park is located in Tampa, Florida.

Rode it last night in the dark for the first time. Very much worth the 80 minute wait. The first drop feels absolutely nuts and you're going so fast through the whole thing you can't even tell when you're upside down

5 minutes for this was the biggest steal of my life. It was so fun; the video does not do it justice. It is probably the best roller coaster I’ve ever ridden. You get whipped towards every direction. 76 MPH, and even though it’s a 91 degree drop, you can feel that extra 1 degree.

If youre an enthusiast you understand what every one of these airtime moments feel like. Goodness this is a powerhouse.

Hands down one of the best coasters ever. Went on it three times today. The last seat wins my vote for some serious air time.

Have rode this coaster multiple times, as I live in Tampa. It is an absolute coaster killer. Nothing you ride will ever compare.

This is definitely slow motion. I rode it last week in Tampa I’m 64 yrs old. My 14 yr old grandson begged me. First time in my life I thought I was going to die. Omg.

This was my first rollercoaster after a 3 year hiatus. I genuinely feared for my life.

1:23 is one of the most visceral, incredible inversions ever designed.

These RMC I-Box refits are just incredible. The layouts are so imaginative. They don't have big elements, they have an amazing collection of small ones. Love it.

I’ve been on a TON of coasters across the country. This is literally one of my favorites! No matter how many times I ride, I’m still fascinated at the speed and just how fun it is.

RMC does it again. Just rode this 3 times. Unreal. What a ride!!! The drop is insane, the speed is amazing, and the inversions are smooth and quick. All positions on the train feel amazing. Not a dull moment. It doesn't let up until its over. Wow. 10/10

This video was worth the wait. Simply beautiful. Well done as expected. Iron Gwazi is going to LAUNCH people out of their seats on those airtime pops. Can't wait.

Having ridden scores of coasters over the years, this is probably now in my top spot - the air time, that first drop, the sheer speed and scale are breathtaking.

I don’t think many people talk about how intense and amazing the death roll is. Literally took my breath away, I felt like I was probably being spun by an actual gator. It’s violent. My favorite inversion I’ve experienced so far.

Absolutely terrifying, but thrilling ride! Can't wait to go again.

Before my back issues became so severe that I couldn’t ride coasters anymore, I rode the original Gwazi during its premiere week. It was the first wooden roller coaster that I had ever ridden and made me a lover of thrill rides. Thanks for these videos. It’s really fun for reminiscing and it’s fun for my little girl who’s not quite tall enough to ride yet.

A great route with surprising turns, quick banking changes, and rolls with simultaneous elevation changes.

If you ride in the back seat, the first drop yanks you over the crest and out of your seat. I came out of my seat at least five times during the ride.

Exceptionally smooth.

I’ve been on MANY coasters and this is at the top of the list. “The Beast” at Kings Island (Mason, Ohio) might still sit in P1, but this would be a close second!

Gotta love a ride that waits for it’s paint to fade before it opens

This should have won the best coaster award!
