VHS-D2, the cutting-edge Croatian bullpup assault rifle designed and manufactured by HS Produkt. This video provides an in-depth overview of this versatile weapon, including its remarkable features, ergonomic design, and diverse capabilities.

The VHS-D2 is a gas-operated rifle chambered for the NATO-standard 5.56x45mm ammunition, boasting a robust and lightweight impact-resistant polymer housing. One of its standout features is its complete ambidextrous handling, making it adaptable for both left-handed and right-handed users. The fire mode selector, located above the pistol grip, offers options for "safe," "semi-auto," and "full-auto" firing modes, while the ambidextrous cocking handle ensures efficient operation with either hand. Additionally, the VHS-D2 allows selectable left or right side cartridge ejection through dual ejection windows.

Magazine management is made easy with transparent plastic magazines that hold 30 rounds, allowing users to check their remaining ammunition without removing the magazine. For added convenience, these magazines can be clamped together for swift reloads, a feature inspired by the HK G36. Moreover, the VHS-D2 is compatible with standard NATO M16-type magazines.

Enhancing its versatility further, the rifle features a Picatinny-type rail over the carrying handle for mounting various scopes and night vision sights. It comes equipped with iron sights, offering a sighting range of up to 500 meters, and can be optimized with optics for a range of up to 600 meters.

The adjustable buttstock ensures comfort for shooters, and the rifle includes standard Picatinny-type rails on the sides and underneath the foregrip for attaching various accessories. It even accommodates a bayonet and can be fitted with a VHS-BG 40-mm underbarrel grenade launcher, which can also serve as a standalone weapon with a range of up to 450 meters. Notably, the rifle can launch rifle grenades and even fire through barbed wire using a flash hider.

In this video, we also explore some variants of the VHS-D2, including the VHS-D2 CT-1.5X with a built-in 1.5x magnification optical sight and the VHS-K2 compact assault rifle/carbine with a shorter barrel. These variants offer additional options to suit different mission requirements.
