Isn't it simply amazing how many notes and power you get get out the pentatonic scale? Brilliant playing here.

I spent the last 4 hours learning and perfecting this lick. Thank you very much for your lessons. This might be the coolest lick I have ever seen on You Tube. I have been playing almost 40 years and continue to learn from your videos. T

I was just browsing around and I honestly thought I was listening to Gary at first. I'm a long time fan of Gary's and seen him play many times. You nailed that feel and sound. :)

That's the best lick lesson I've ever seen. I knew the video it was from before you even finished the first run. I think you've crammed more in to 3 odd mins than some people do in 20. And I'd say your speed on that particular lick is not that far of Master Moore himself, so we'll done mate. Keep rocking

I think the main reason why people love him, was the sheer raw energie in his perfomance. I'm pretty sure that he had a damn strong hand grip. Nice video btw.

Thanks, you are a fantastic guitar player, sounds like you have a pleasant humble understanding clear voice, your teaching is inspiring because your style of teaching explains the action of the lick very well, and the camera work is great too. Thank you for sharing your talent and skills un-selfisly with your fellow man. You sound like such a likable chap, once again, thank you for caring for those of us who are becoming your students, who want and or desire to climb up to your level, caring souls like you give us hope, inspiration, and an opportunity to feel like we really have a friend that cares about us, so much so, that your time and attention is directed to each of us, your acquired students online, that proudly can now say that we have ourselves a teacher that is freely laboring to give us a higher quality of life, thanks buddy, the world needs more people like you, may God bless you tremendously for your labor of love that you are freely enriching our lives with.

I'm glad Youtube put in a half speed option so I can finally learn this lick. ;-)

I also have the CAE Wah. It is a great pedal, I had to adjust the internal gain and Q setting, but after that awesome sound.

Great Gibson's tone. And may be the best lessons in internet at all. Thank you

Awesome! My new favorite speed lick. It even sounds like music when you slow it down. Really interesting and quirky fingergasm.

Nice lesson, but i have to say, that Gary Moore was (in terms of sheer speed) just above pentatonic blues licks. Back in the 80's, he used more strict alternate picking at insane speeds. For example, he could play a exceptionally clean 32th note at 140-150 bpm (and on other occassions even higher, but i don't have live recordings with good quality) and his tremolo speedpicking (alternate picking on one string) reached incredible 27-28 notes per second. It's no secret, that most modern shredders admire Gary Moore so much. He is Steve Vai's favourite guitar player.

Outstanding presentation. EZ to follow with your well paced video and description. No more setting the turntable rpm to 16 instead of 33.3 (tell'n on myself). Used to have to do that to Johnny Winter before the internet ;) Albums are all toast of course from needle set backs.
Thanx! Your speed is remarkable and clean.
