DIY - Use Honey as an organic substitute to rooting hormone powder.
Honey is anti fungal anti bacterial and fights infections, helping plants to root.

Directions:
Plant cutting should be about 4 inches long.
Cut your plant at a node at a 45degree angle.
Pull the bottom half of the leaves off the stem.
Wounding your cuttings - by scraping some bark off the bottom of the stem - this helps the chances for it to root.
Now dip the end of your cutting stem in honey and plant directly in the ground or place it in a bottle of water and wait for it to root before planting.

One little tip, don't "water well" after planting the cutting as this vid indictes. Using honey or any other product including hormone powder you dont want to wash it away after planting. The honey (root stimulator) just washes off if you water and is wasted. First water the pot well (until the water comes out the bottom holes) then plant your honey dipped cutting in it and set aside.
Dont water again for a couple of weeks. This maximises the working of the honey or rooting stimulator and prevents rot. If you must water spray the foliage instead.
Mixing the honey and a small amount of rooting hormone powder together actually works even better. Just use a pinch of powder to a little honey to make an even blended paste then add that paste to the rest of the honey you will be using, stir very well until also completely blended. This method gives you maximum even powder spread in the honey. The honey keeps the rooting hormone sticking to the cutting and keeps it from decaying as well as preventing the cutting itself rotting as honey has the added benefit of being a natural fungicide and preservative.
Rooting hormones are completely environmentally friendly. Even though mostly completely synthetically produced, they break down and decay within a short few days, honey delays that from happening.

Honey is useful for every type of thing, it's great for plant propagating. For healing the body, both inside and out. And it's really good with warm crusty bread and a little butter.

Very informative and great video style. I've followed GR on fb but failed to realize that you also had a video channel. Will definitely follow these, too, for inspiration, encouragement and education. THANK YOU!

Honey is anticeptic because it is viscose. If you dilute it, you make a perfect nutrient enviroment for all kinds of bacteria and fungi.
