Thank you thank you for this video. I am a brand new RV owner just finished our first trip 8 days. Won’t be camping again in about a week and I emptied my black tank when we left the site. Flushed it a few times using a Rhino blaster with a blade valve so I was able to fill it up 5-6 times before I emptied but I didn’t add a bucket of water in my tank nor did I do the fresh water each night. I will definitely add a bucket to it now with some chemicals so it does not dry out whatever is there now.

Also great tip on the tongue jack.

Question. Should you do the same for your gray water tank?

These make perfect sense! We haven't been keeping enough water in the black tank. Love the tip about filling the tank and letting it sit overnight. Going to do that tonight and hopefully it cleans out the odors we have been getting.

Thanks, from another Imagine owner. I've always let my black tank fill up before emptying it. And we don't skimp on flushing more water in after we flush. **Only thing I wasn't doing is traveling with 5gal of water in the black tank after I flush and we hit the road.
(I like the chains on your bucket handle. My wife complains about the noise when the wind blows that handle back and forth. The chains stop that)

Also I’ve heard but I have not tried yet to dump one cup of simple green and one cup of a laundry soap before you drive down the road that will switch around helps keep things clean. As a simple green is a natural enzyme

I like to empty the black tank the night before I leave the next day&then fill the black tank with hot water from the shower hose or a hose hooked up to your bathroom sink and let it sit overnight then dump& flush the next day and never had any issues with the sensors thinking about putting a cutoff valve on the toliet line so that no cold water can flow in while I am putting the hot water in1 more tip i like to do is pull the jacks up then hookup the camper to truck and let it rock back and forth all night it makes flushing the tank easier.i also fill my gray tank up with hot water and let it sit overnight and I drain it the next day

THIS IS ONE OF FEW BEST advice to keep your tanks clean instead of using BUNCH of unnecessary chemicals like as if RV tanks are some special tanks that requires all them chemicals.

I have been using a bucket for my tounge and chains for years. I also padlock my wd bars yo chains so no one can steal them

We decided early on that we would not do #2 in the rig and would use the park facilities unless it was an emergency. We are older and its just the 2 of us 90% of the time so It’s not an inconvenience. We also don’t put anything except liquid in the black tank. We have a sealed trash can for paper waste. We use happy camper and never have any oder.

The number one tip is buy a black tank back flush elbow… sprays water directly into tank while dumping… makes all the difference…
