This fly needs no introduction. A very well known fly, the G.P. has been responsible for a lot of memorable fish for many anglers. The G.P is a fantastic prawn pattern that gets a lot of reactionary strikes from Salmon and Steelhead that have just come in to their native rivers from the salt. Make sure to have a few of these in your box at all times while Salmon and Steelhead fishing.

One thing I tried was to coat the golden pheasant tippet with Solarez flex uv to keep the fibers together! That worked great. Just a suggestion. Love the pattern.

I just tried this one tonight. I found that my hook wasn't long enough and I had trouble with the "thirds" concept because I felt like I was running up against the eye of the hook too quickly. As a result, I couldn't add the final hackle. My version came out a little short but it still looks pretty good. Will they hit this in totally fresh water?

If you don't mind wasting that much material on feathers, it would be a great fly, only thing I could say I'd do different, but awesome looking sir none the less!!
