I was seventeen riding the railroads from Chicago to Mpls, to Omaha, to Denver and St Louis when this song came out. That year there was a serial killer prowling the streets in Omaha. Got out of there just in time. I believe he and another (an accomplice) were following me one night. So I ran to the tracks where I had a arsenal of weapons I stashed for occasions like this. They never followed. Their safety was in the anonymity of the crowds. That night I sat on the old stone dock, peeled of my clothes an dived into the ice cold waters of the Missouri. That very night President Carters attempted rescue of the Iran hostages failed when the helicopters they were using crashed in the deserts. I'll never forget this song.
