Auction BMW M2 Competition - Technological Mess

While at an auto auction, I came across this 2021 BMW M2. I've always been a fan of the 2 series and this would be proper good fun with it's manual transmission. But this car was in an accident and I couldn't get it to start. Is it worth restoring? Watch until the end of the video to find out!

Probably a fuel cut off safety feature, when i crashed mine it did the same thing 😅 bings and bongs, Christmas tree on the dash and it clicked but didn't turn on. But it's a very hot m2 👌🏼

They put a code in that once a certain indicator of a crash goes off you have to bring it in so we can clear it

BMW has a fuse that is located on top of the battery. If an accident is severe the fuse will blow. The car will go into ACC mode but won't start until the fuse is replaced.

As an owner of a 2021 M2C, my heart breaks by watching this video.

All that dry grass and dirt inside exhaust tell me that this wasnt a normal accident but rather some guy tried to drift like Ken Block, spun out and rear ended into a ditch

Cars as far back as the 80s will refuse to run from rear collisions. There are inertia switches to keep the fuel pump from running after an accident, the bmw probably has very similar just tied into the ecu

There’s a g82 m4 at the shop I work at, customer went off the road smacked the undercarriage of the car, broke the radiator(s) trans cooler and oil pan cracked. The dude drove it home and locked the motor up. The crazy part is, if you look the car there only minimal body damage on the bottom area of the front bumper. Always check underneath these salvage cars!

Honestly of the cars i see on here this one might be worth it- those manual m2 comps go for crazy money, as long as its a manual and a comp. One of my many many dream cars, they just look so damn good!
