Wield an expanding deck of mystical cards to place enemies, buildings, and terrain along each unique expedition loop for the brave hero. Recover and equip powerful loot for each class of hero for their battles and expand the survivors' camp to reinforce each adventure through the loop. Unlock new classes, new cards, and devious guardians on your quest to shatter the endless cycle of despair.

Infinite Adventure: Select from unlockable character classes and deck cards before setting out on each expedition along a randomly generated loop path. No expedition is ever the same as the ones before it.

Plan Your Struggle: Strategically place building, terrain, and enemy cards along each loop to create your own dangerous path. Find balance between the cards to increase your chances of survival while recovering valuable loot and resources for your camp.

Loot and Upgrade: Strike down menacing creatures, recover stronger loot to equip on the fly and unlock new perks along the way.

Expand Your Camp: Turn hard-earned resources into campsite upgrades and gain valuable reinforcements with each completed loop along the expedition path.

Save the Lost World: Overcome a series of unholy guardian bosses over a grand saga to save the world and break the time loop of the Lich!

Tip for you Retro. Magic is true damage and helps taking down physical resistant enemies like the Skeletons from Cemetery and Gargoyles from the Treasury. Looking forward to more Loops!

I really like how pretty the character portraits are when talking to creatures. I especially noticed it with the harpy... I feel kinda bad for her

I like to keep my meadow cards for when I drop a treasury, so that I can put them directly around one ! Also to optimize it even better, the best idea I found is to be able to put treasuries with a distance of 2 to each other, so to only put 5 cards around one until I find another treasury ! So that one card can activate both treasures. Not sure if that was clear enough, but it workds pretty well to optimize them. Also after some time it's definitely worth to drop mountains to activate treasuries.

I really love the art style, on top of everything else in this game. It's hard to characterize because it's not really Retro. It's more Modern 2D. There's a lot of polish but also a lot of utility where everything on the loop/strategy map is VERY easy to identify despite things getting so crowded.

I appreciate your early release version YouTube sorcery. March 4th isn't far off but I'm definitely ready to dive into the full version of Loop Hero.

So:
Meadows give the most recources by placing them next to other stuff like rocks or Lighthouses, they then gain flowers as a sign you got full profit.
Towns tthat receive a Vampire Mansion turn ruined and spawn ghouls now.
You can also can only have 1 Mountainpeak.
Treasuries become empty when fully surrounded by other tiles

The blooming meadows only happens when you place a grove next to no other grove. So piling meadows next to each other isn't the best.

Not to backseat Reto but when it comes to goblins you either want to oblivion the camps or make sure not to give them extra speed through light towers, looking forward to the series tho!

Meadows become blooming when adjacent to anything btw <3

- Magic Damage ignores armor.
- Evade is... evade. Counter is evade with counterattack.
I made a 60% counter built, really lacking dmg and the battles took forever but I could maximise the enemies cuz I had basically multiattack with that... then I learned that time continues during combat.

- What I believe to have learned, you want to maximise the number of fights/enemies for cards & equipment, if you can survive that punishment. The monster strength is only interesting once you've built the gymn and can gain EXP.

I enjoyed this little game. It is like an interesting twist on Tower Defense. Instead of the monsters going along the path, your character is and the monsters come from the towers.

Hooray finally had a chance to watch the run. I'm going to be putting some friendly (demo based) advice here for people who may be perusing the Episode 1 comments for advice (and you're welcome to take it Retro or just preserve your discovery as you go through this. I saw some of this in other comments but I wanted to put it all in one place:

1) Meadows can become Blooming Meadows when they are adjacent to anything other than another meadow and only in the 4 cardinal directions. It's a good idea to intersperse Rocks and Meadows together or lay out your treasure towers accordingly.
2) Your observation is the same as my experience, you only get 1 mountain that will spawn harpies.
3) Treasure towers can be placed near the road if you know you're going to put some stuff on the tiles next to the road to fill it out. Once you surround it by 8 squares you get a big bonus.
4) Magic Damage, according to a dev interview on the Stream that's on the Steam page, is another way to say "Bonus Damage." So Magic Damage 4 means 4 more damage.
5) You found the anti-synergy between Spiders and Lanterns. Very good way to limit spiders from overwhelming tiles.
6) Having problems with a specific type of card? Don't forget that you can edit your "deck" between runs
7) You are correct that equipment backgrounds are "rarity" tiers for the number of bonuses on gear. Note however that every time you swap gear you clear a tile in your inventory, which can be a problem if you're trying to overflow your inventory to farm town resources (metal? I forget what it's called).
8) I know you were having fun in the intro episode seeing what happens, but you can hold onto a pretty large number of cards and don't have to place them all at once. There is a special resource that only appears from burning cards from a full hand.

Keep up the great series. Loop Hero is awesome and I'm going to do my best to not spoil stuff for myself before it comes out. But you're making that difficult. Well played.

You can place meadows next to other things such as spider cocoons, rocks, beacons, vampire mansions, etc to turn them into blooming meadows as well.
