It's always good to watch some fellow comic artist sharing this kind of content here on Youtube.

Here's some font advice: if you have a fantasy comic, use LEGIBLE handwritten fonts or serif fonts (serif means they have little licks at the end)

If you have a more serious comic, you can use a professional font like Libra Baskerville or Helvetica

Don't be afraid to use different fonts for different characters. Take Undertale for example. Papyrus and Sans have different fonts for their characters. You could use a more rigid font for robots, or a slightly swirly font (like Delius Swash Caps) for more magical and flamboyant characters


But make sure that your text is LEGIBLE. Nothing is more important

Thanks for this! Planning to start making my own comics and decided to watch this after a quick YouTUbe search, you not only given me hope in making a comic but also inspired me to just keep on going and just keep on working on my films and animations because getting there takes time. personal i've been drawing anime for 1 month (for anime or whatever ) i didn't start bad i was like ok at it now im like i can draw a quick drawing like a 1 min drawing and its really good .

12:57 for me, I just knew that if I didn’t start making comics, no matter how shitty they were, I’d never make them. You have to be really bad at something before you can become good, so it’s okay to not do well in skill areas at first. Also, a comfort for me is that before I get it ready for print, I’m going to redo all the pages (and add any scenes I accidentally skipped in making the pages lol).
