Heavy rainfall triggered a massive landslide that swallowed roadways, trees and orchards.

Such things also happened in my country, people removed jungle Yrees n planted arecanut, every years we now witness landslides. From N-E India.

Thats what happens when you remove vegetation holding hillsides together and the think you can strip and replant. Doesnt work till roots take hold and with trees that can take a long time.
Crazy that this doesnt occur to people in this day and age
