From a couple of years ago I love FiLMic Pro used with my Zhiyun Smooth 4. I do a lot of concert videos, and I usually use the rotary zoom button. WHAT A BAD SURPRISE to find out that FiLMiC Pro doesn't support zooming with the Smooth 5. I know now this feature is locked by you (Zhiyun) but it's very disappointing and if it's on purpose (to use your app), It's a bad commercially idea because I will continue to use my Smooth 4 as long as this function is locked on the Smooth 5.
Don't forget: if we buy the Smooth 5, it's mainly to use it with FiLMic Pro because your ZY Cami app is far from being as efficient.
So please don't write "FINALLY! ZHIYUN Smooth 5 is now fully compatible with the FiLMic Pro App". NO it isn't FULLY COMPATIBLE!

Just purchased zhiyun smooth5 and filmic pro app. After connecting the zhiyun5 then launch filmic pro - only the record button responds the rest of the zhiyun physical buttons are NOT working at all or not responding. Please help this new zhiyun owner. Thanks Dan.

Great video, thank you ! Question : on the Smooth 4, you could switch from Pan Follow mode to Follow simply by pressing and holding the trigger. Now, on the Smooth 5, correct me if I'm wrong, this is visibly not possible anymore. Doing this switches to the "go" mode, which in and of itself could be useful occasionally but isn't nearly as essential as the follow mode. PF and F are the cornerstones modes, using them simultaneously is crucial for creating great shots. Switching within a shot via the mode button is impossible, and the joystick isn't comprised in the equation, since, as useful as it can be, it can't replace a proper natural movement. In the meantime for an upcoming shoot I'm gonna have to return the 5 I just bought and head back to the 4 as the lack of that feature really is a dealbreaker, to my great regret : the redesign of the 5 is terrific, with the motor at the back instead of the front, the improved range of motion, the easy balance, the more compact size. It's really better across the board, except for that vital feature. Could this be improved in an upcoming update, allowing to customize the trigger switch in Filmic Pro ?

hey thanks! even though the zoom in this case is purely digital, it would be nice to enable the zoom wheel too like in the official app for many different purposes :)

-Menu: Open Flimic Pro Menu
-D pad center -> Shooting Modes (or LED light)
---Mode 1 Reticle: D Pad Left->Lock/Unlock exposure
Pad Right-> Lock/Unlock Focus
Pad Up->Lock/Unlock Both
Pad Down->Footage Menu
Wheel controls Focus (press right to close)
Pad Wheel controls exposure (press left to close)
---Mode 2 AUTO: D Pad Left->Same as above
---Mode 3 Manual (shows manual arcs):
thumb wheel for Exposure
Focus wheel for Focus
Pad Right-> Focus Pull Points
Focus wheel pick starting pull point then tap focus point on screen
Repeat above
Pad Right again to Engage Pull Points
Pad Left similar as above for Pull Points on Exposure
-Focus Wheel – only pull focus
arc is show drag in on screen to show slider to control how fast focus changes work (same for D Pad/Exposure)
-Function: Single press back camera, long press pick lens
-Light: Long press center D pad
---Wheel controls brightness
---Long Press to close

This is Oct, 2022 and I just deleted the version of FiLMic Pro I have had for a few years and installed the latest version. I followed the start of the tutorial but the only control that is working between the gimbal and the app is the record button. I have turned on the blue tooth connection. Can you tell me what is, or rather, what is not working and how to fix it? Thanks. FiLMic Pro is the only app that allows me to hear the audio via blue tooth of all the apps I have so I really want this to work.

Nicely done. Does this happen to work with the Zhiyun Crane 3s? I've been asking for this for well over a year. To have focus control and the ability to record from the gimbal without having to reach around and touch the screen. That would be fantastic to incorporate these functions to other Zhiyun gimbals.
