Can I connect the led on the other side to the black - and get the same voltage ? Where is correct to connect the led direct to the red or to the black cable ? For me it is working both ways. Thanks.

Eu fiz assim também, mas usei 11 diodo para reduzir 5.10 volts para 1.5 volts, reduziu uns 0.30 volts por cada diodo.
