I milled and built my cabin's cedar desk but it was soft and dented easily. Two part epoxy is so fun to pour that I decided to refinish this gorgeous table.

Because I’ve gotten so many questions about the gear that I use on the channel, here are some of the most important pieces I use every day:

Thank you all so much for supporting this crazy endeavor! Without you folks donating to Surviving Ringworm, I wouldn't be able to even consider staying out here in the wilderness a FIFTH year making videos. You seriously blow my mind!

The insight to the need for a table is great. You're so right it had me laughing.

The top looks great! Just an FYI for future pours, if you measure by weight, the ratio is 100A:83B. If you measure by volume, the ratio is 1:1 😀

Ryan! I found a cool wireless fence for the pooch. Check out “spot on”. Looks pretty good, works off of gps instead of a buried wire. Walk the boundary with the unit to set parameters, save and your pup is free to roam inside your set boundaries. It uses a collar so….. it’s an interesting choice. Good luck!

If only the epoxy wasn't so darn expensive, I'd have dozens of my woodworking projects include the stuff!

Nice Ryan! MIca powders mixed with the epoxy make the pour interesting. Vibration will bring the bubbles up. That new sander laid upside down should do the job. Although it may take awhile. I did this once pouring pen blanks. However, the desk looks just beautiful. Glad your back is doing better.

Resin is self leveling. Get rid of bubbles with a heat gun. New sub here, love your humor!

What I have found works well with notty cedar is a sealing coat using an acid brush for the deep holes and a foam brush for the top surface. Do this first, let it set, then do your top coat pour spread with a spatula and let it self level. Use a heat gun to remove bubbles. I really like your channel. Keep up the awesome content!
