Obviously those fans are stupid, the Heisei trilogy were the best, the mythos and lore were well written and even got an official comic called The Last Hope.
Gamera The Brave was a pretty good film, unlike the Showa films the kids were not annoying as hell and were above all great in their roles.

Gamera Rebirth looks fantastic, the design for Jiger is gnarly and cool. The Showa films are very nostalgic but aren't great films, though at the same time they still take us back to our childhoods.
A real fan knows which films are great and which ones aren't, but I fully respect your opinions in the end.

I honestly loved gamera the brave.
Was a nice take for gameras story for me personally.
Effects and fights are also very good

Gamera: The Brave is one of the greatest tokusatsu movies of all time and primarily gets hate because it's not in-continuity with the trilogy and takes aim at a younger audience. The only real complaint they make is original Gamera in the opening moments not having his classic roar.

Gamera sequels would just be released one year later yet it started to stop in the 1970s probably due to lack of ideas but I felt like they could’ve made a crossover movie in 1972 called Gamera vs Mighty Joe Young so that in the anime Gamera Rebirth, they could’ve inspired ideas from Godzilla vs Kong like having Joe use a shield from the shell of an ancient Gamera

In reality, i rate Rebirth as a full 10/10, it feels so on-topic and has a unique plot with interesting development in characters.

I personally like the first one best. It's got the best balance of human stuff and monster stuff, and the characters are interesting. Gamera 2 is boring as fuck and Gamera 3 has cool monster moments, but they're only at the beginning and end of the movie.
Gamera 1 also has a fucking awesome musical score.
