Plo Koon’s death in revenge of the sith can probably be counted as one of the saddest moments in Star Wars history, especially once you get to know him better through the clone wars show. But did you know that his death scene in revenge of the sith was suppose to be even more brutal?
The deleted scene starts out very similar to what we got in the movie. Plo Koon is flanked by a few ARC-170 starfighters, the fighters pull back and begin to fire on the jedi master. But here is where things take a much darker turn. In this deleted scene, Plo Koon doesn’t go down in his starfighter, instead the jedi master manages to eject himself.
But just as he does so, the clones proceed to blow him out of the sky. And if you slow the footage down, you can actually see Plo Koon’s head detach from his body, as the rest of him is vaporized.
