Everything About Mission Control Houston

Houston, we have a problem – there are too many questions about Mission Control. Luckily, Flight Director Mary Lawrence is here to answer as many as she can before her shift starts. Listen as she and her fellow flight controllers answer everything about Mission Control Houston: what time does it close, how many acronyms do you have to learn, is there a phone number for the space station, and many many more.

All of the flight controllers on screen are real Houston flight controllers and controllers in training.

This is so incredibly fascinating. I feel like a kid again! If I had the 'job requirements' for NASA, it would be my dream employer. The amount of knowledge, education and man hours sitting in that room is so incredible.

This is what I keep finding again and again as I grow up. Everything epic in this world is amazingly average and I'm okay with that, it shows me that things in this world are made and designed by people like me. All that's needed to make a good idea go from and idea to a design is willpower.
Either way, great video, glad to get a view into Mission Control, Houston.

"hurrr durrr is fake obvious scriptin" wow you youtube commenters are geniuses for decipherig that, have a big fat gold award for figuring that out. In all honesty this was a nice quick segment of an interview. Nerds being awkward is my crack, cheers for this. Keep up the good work being awesome in outer space... Or in earth as shown here.

That was an amazing treat for me today. I would have asked every one of those same questions as well. I must admit, I love seeing women in these roles and I hope vignettes like these inspires more young women into nontraditional careers on or above the planet. Thanks again. 👽👽👽👽👽

Heh it`s funny to see the awkwardness of really smart people trying to reach the general public and make a "pop" vlog

I liked that it was scripted. Obviously not Hollywood tier acting, but the flow was nice. Otherwise, it'd be a boring video imo.

Dad was a contractor at Johnson for a couple of years. Can confirm, this is exactly how conversations happen

Having to know a lot of acronyms was really more of a 20th Century problem—and yes, in earlier times it did cause me some anxiety at times. Now, you can look up most anything in a few seconds. Now, I use enough of them to be a real PITA.
