The entire mma community came together and decided to embrace Bisping for this fight.

He was a dick. Matt Hamill, Dan Henderson, Demarques Johnson, Jorge Rivera, etc. Bisping was a bonafide fuckin dickhead.

But, after years of grinding against the UFC's best and usually losing "the big one, " Bisping has started to win over the fans. After being headkicked and one-arm guillotined by Luke in their first fight, he scratched and clawed for wins over Dolloway and Leites, which put him in a position to fight Anderson Silva.

He gave Anderson Silva hell, bringing the pressure and even dropping Anderson. He showed so much grit, being knocked out with a flying knee but allowed to continue. He dug deep, showed a TON of grit, and was able to grind Silva for a tight decision win.

That still wasn't enough for a title fight, but when Chris Weidman got injured, nobody would step up. Not Jacare, Yoel, or anyone else. Then, Bisping got the call.

Despite being out of shape and filming a movie, he cowboy'd up and took the fight against the guy who had smoked him just a year and a half earlier.

Luke's arrogance had the fans rooting agisnst him, but they didnt plan on rooting for Bisping. But Bisping was the guy we got. He showed up as defiant as ever, looking to make his dream come true.

Bisping was respected as a very good striker, but nobody considered him deadly. He had gotten many tkos in the UFC, but he never separated anyone from his senses. Yet, at UFC 199, when it mattered more than ever, he landed the perfect counter left hook right on the jaw, before pounding Luke unconscious.

It was like a great pro-wrestling face turn. Perfectly scripted. One of the biggest and best upsets EVER. Bisping became a LEGEND that night.
