Everyone always on about range anxiety, but with a bike like this all I care about is how many smiles per gallon it gets.

I recently did 840 miles on my LiveWire in two days, and like you, most of my stops were 20-30 mins. After a while that’s just not long enough 😆 I felt like as soon as I caught my breath it was time to get back on the road again. The time at those stops goes very quickly, and I think people underestimate an average stop time at the petrol station.

Sam, this is the best video ever! Honest, real and based on the real world. I’m with you, electric bikes are sick. Happy birthday!

Thank you very much for you input it's really valuable especially coming from someone who has the experience I have an electric motorcycle too that I practically made it myself so I can totally understand what you're saying about Energica

Scary fast is very appropriate, I thought the 13.4 ego was pretty fast, but this is on a whole different level. I look forward to many more years of awesome videos of you making me even more excited about this new electric world

Remember when I mentioned to you that I was walking down a side street in Welly, and turned around to see S's Energica go past on the main street? That was entirely due to hearing that distinctive Energica sound and turning around as a result, something I'd only previously heard on YouTube videos, but it is that distinctive! My Super Soco TC Max not so much on the sound, but at least with its belt it has more than the previous hub-motor bike that I used to have :)

Great review! I agree with your comments on the bike. Fortunately, I haven't experienced the problems with the brake rotors yet on my Energica but it's definitely happened with the Brembo rotors on my Moto Guzzi Norge. I'm still surprised how many motorcycle people have not heard of Energica. I guess they see electric and totally dismiss it as not a real motorcycle. Every once in awhile I'll run into someone who knows what they are and I get barraged with questions about the bike. That does seem to happen more frequently now than when I first got the bike last April.

I need to post your review on Facebook so my riding buddies get a better understanding of what the bike is about.

I like all of the Energica branded things you were wearing in the review. Energica needs a merch store. I haven't been able to find anything outside of some sketchy looking online T-shirt sites.

Hey Sam,
absolutely right. These are the best bikes.
I just made a 2700km trip through my homecountry germany and I must sah that a 30 minute (maximum) charging stop most of the times has been a wellcome break for my old butt. 😉
Go on making such great videos.
🖐

You didn't mention price in this video, but I think it's worth mentioning the "upcharge" to go with a energica over a comparable super naked isn't that much compared to electric cars vs gas cars. The US site for energica lists the ribelle MSRP at $25k while a similarly spec'd bmw S1000R is around 22k or Ducati Streetfighter V4 at $22k. Imagine if someone was cross shopping a $22k Civic but they could get a fully EV Civic for $25k, a bit of a no brainer.

7:52 ditto on those heated grips. So nice to have in the winter months. Ask Chris to send you a switch and grips and a tutorial on how to wire it into the bike’s main harness. Mine were added after I took possession of the bike. I made a planned stop in the Bay at Enérgica’s HQ to have Chris add them and iirc, it took maybe around 2 hours. As far as heat settings go, I just leave them on max.

I want Two many projects on the go sucking up the money's. I will be getting back on the bike eventually and its cool to know that these bikes have set the standard and now it better than good - and it can only get better from here.

👏👏👏 Very good video Sam, If all Energica's reviews would be as honest, and informative as yours there will be a lot more of them on the road!

125mi/charge is actually a bit more than most rockets I've ridden. Seriously impressive bike, great video!

Hey Sam, we rented a couple of these last weekend and must confess we were blow away. Unfortunately here in Australia, all the DC fast charging is on the coast and most of the twisty bike roads are inland where DC charging is far and few between. Hopefully, in the next few years things change with more charging infrastructure.

5:13 yeah, the windscreen doesn't do much... but against the rain, it makes a huge difference on the clarity of the screen!

15 minutes are really a sweet spot. You get a break from having a sore ass but not so much that it's pointless. I have a BMW CE04 and I love it. No DC charging but it's a city bike. Regardless I did 3000km in a little bit over a month. It's a lot of fun. The AC charging would be to slow for me on the Energica, as I have to charge on the street with public chargers, and DC is not very common.
