Ford Focus RS Hot Lap with Ben Collins The Stig

While visiting Ford's World Headquarters in Dearborn, Michigan, we were treated to the rare opportunity to not just drive the new 2017 Ford Focus RS ourselves, but to go for a crazy lap with race and stunt driver Ben Collins. In addition to his extensive pro racing career, Ben portrayed The Stig on Top Gear during its heyday, and also has done stunt driving for several James Bond movies.

Ben took us on a quick lap around a custom autocross course which was designed to show off the Focus RS' "drift mode," which makes it easy for everyday drivers to pull off drifts, though we're confident most of us could never do them as well as The Stig can.

The Focus RS is highlighted by its all-wheel drive and torque vectoring systems, along with a powerful 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine that pushes out 350 horses, and an exhaust note that's sublime.
