It's so strange playing minecraft with my Nephew since he's only played bedrock and always has these crazy add ons in game. (The free ones, he's being raised well) 9 years old and he's roasting my furniture because I don't realize he has a literal furniture add on in game and I've only played vanilla Java the last 13 years lmao. (Too many items being the only exception back in the day)

Difference between all forge, fabric, quilt, etc.: way to write the code. An example is Fabric has a little spurt for things while Quilt has or something like that when you have a villager killed.

I think it would be cool if you did like, a modded chaotic survival playthrough with all of your friends

Knarfy I want to see you and a few of your friends such as ferret and systemz to play a game I created. First you want to start by finding a large mountain close to build height, this will be where you play, one person is in creative and can run commands, the only goal of the other people is to reach the top of the mountain, as the creative person you just simply have to stop them, they will have a few items of your or their choice in order to help them reach the summit.
It is a very fun game that ends up just being absolute chaos, it is especially fun when you make it rain slimes with the oozing effect.
A couple of rules are, no breaking blocks as the creative person, you can only spawn one boss at a time (warden, enderdragon, wither) and you can't run commands that instantly kill the player.
