For this particular model you can seal the top where the icemaker fill tube comes in at with permagum/ hvac playdoh to keep air from getting in. If it's freezing at the fill tube.

So what! How about showing how you removed ice maker and fixed it. How did you diagnosed the problem?

How did you get the little plastic plate off to get the assembly to slide out? I'm worried about prying it out and breaking the plastic.

Maybe the fix is the heater element by the motor is not working. The heater element melts the ice enough to drop on the rack and slide onto the ice bin thus leaving the ice tray to form new ice cube and rinse and repeat
