Full episode of Battle of the Network Stars from Nov. 2, 1979
The winners were NBC , One of my favorite tv shows, growing up , amazing to see A list actors and icons battle it out for what would be roughly $100,000 in todays value ,can you see A listers fighting out like they did back then , i think not LOL , the remake failed completely, love seeing how hard these celebrities tried and the competition to win is awesome , I'll be posting all 19 episode over the next few days ! Battle of the Network Stars is a series of competitions in which television stars from ABC, CBS and NBC would compete in various sporting events. A total of 19 of these competitions were held between 1976 and 1988, all of which were aired by ABC.All but one of the competitions took place at the sports facilities of Pepperdine University near Malibu, California, the exception being XVIII which was held in Ixtapa, Mexico.

Each network was represented by eight or ten of its stars from various series, and one of those people from each team would be elected to serve as the network's team captain.

17:32 Howard with one of the classic lines from the entire series, "But look at Erin Gray, the body slightly bent forward, live short strokes, doesn't plunge the stick in too deeply".

I can't imagine today's equivalent of these celebrities doing something like this

The 70s. Greatest decade in American history.

As someone from the UK, it's fascinating that 90% of the contestants are totally unknown to me, but that I recognise quite a few names from Wayne's World jokes.

On the other hand, Erin Gray and Gil Gerard are obviously international legends.

Gil Gerard couldn't do any water events. I wonder why 🤔

CBS didn't win this battle.. but they debuted two future key cogs in success: Judy Norton-Taylor and Greg Harrison.

Obvious miscarriage of justice at the end with the tug-of-war and everybody is just oblivious with no mention of it?!! That’s Incredible!
I wonder if there was professional gambling on these shows because that was utter BS
