I still think to this day Mulan is one of the most beautiful Disney characters ever created.

From my experience as an artist, the fact that he can do this makes me think that he's drawn Mulan so many of times that he can just do it from memory with a few strokes. It's a sign of a great director to me!

Tony Bancroft was my mentor and professor at my university for 4 years! He is a great teacher and started the Animation and Visual Effects program at my university. He called us each personally to welcome us to the program. We were his first ever class he had and the first at the school to graduate from the program! He's awesome and always gave us great feedback and connections from the industry as well as industry opportunities. He brought Studio Ghibli cookies to class once just to share, and special guests. He was like a father figure to us. Much love to Tony 🙌🏽

Tbh Mulan is my favorite 2D princess, she's the only one who's drawn as a normal teen and also the toughest, and her goal isn't to find a love interest

Please notice the pauses in his strokes. He is doing a lot of mental legwork trying to picture this character and it’s a testament to his skill for sure. But even he needs split seconds to remember the forms
