In this tutorial, you'll learn how to create this versatile wire woven pendant. You can use either a square or a rectangle cabochon to create this piece. This weave really shows off the stone and is very secure.
So, let's get started!
............................................................
For materials you’re going to need:
8” Segment 16 G Square wire
(X2) 5” segments 21 G 1/2 round wire
~12” segment of 21 G 1/2 round wire
(X2) 2” segments of 18 G 1/2 round wire
A teardrop cabochon. I’m using a 18mmx 25mm cabochon for this tutorial.
2-3 feet 28 gauge weaving wire
(X3) 7” Segments of 20 G Round wire
(X2) 7” segments of 20 G square wire
And another 7”segment of 20 or 18 gauge round wire. (I ended up using 20 gauge for this tutorial.)
For tools, you’re going to need:
A ruler
A Ring mandrel, or something round like a large dowel
Flush cutters
Chain nose pliers
Round nose pliers
It's not necessary, I recommend having a pair of flat nose pliers as well.
