The best tip I've honestly heard is imagine pulling with your elbows rather than your hands. Even full grip is fine because you're working a bit of biceps and forearms at the same time, it's not a big deal.

People saying don’t do this on bench press but it honestly relieves a lot of wrist pain when you do it. Yeah I don’t recommend beginners do this because it can fall but a lot of people do it. Personally I do it all the time except for when going for certain weights.

When you are beginner its normal. You cant feel back muscles or any muscle. Because you dont have enough muscle to feel it. Keep working you will feel it.
(I felt my back in my sixth or seventh month btw)
