Saw Wicked live recently, Alexia captivated me with every song especially in this moment her voice is just so amazing.

Guys, to the people saying she’s not moving enough….

No.1 She is stood on a tiny platform very high on stage and trying to sing a ridiculously hard song. Moving a lot may affect her control when there isn’t a lot of room to move anyway.

No.2 all actors are different. Perhaps she’s apprehensive about heights and is scared of moving too much.

No.3 maybe she has been directed to move less?

Whatever it is, she’s moving the broom around. She’s feeling the song and singing it beautifully and until one is at that height in the air of on a platform that’s no bigger than a weighing scales, it’s impossible to know how that feels to move on it.
Lastly this is a very short clip. Maybe she moves more at the end.

Saw wicked last week and it was amazing and defying gravity is probably one of my favourite songs of the musical it was on a Sunday afternoon so we had both stand ins for elphba and glinda but they were all amazing ❤

She looks like she's holding back on moving... Girl, if there's anything I like in Defying Gravity is when the actress does plenty of movements to look like she's actually flying! Think Idina Menzel, that did a lot of flowing movements, and the result was a convincing flight

No hate, I have nothing against the truly amazing AK but I really am dissapointed when I see actresses who don't physically dedicate their bodies to the stage, like tbh she looks as stiff as a statue I can name others but that would be off topic, she's incredible though I just wish she would make the illusion of her flying more visible I you get what I'm saying
