Hertz Car Sales Review

I just purchased a new car from Hertz and it was a great experience and a great deal. I wanted to share for those with concerns.

Recently bought a certified 2018 Ford Edge SEL from Hertz. They had it listed at $16, 500. That’s $4, 000 below KBB. The buying experience was phenomenal. I decided to add the extended warranty and even that was great. For $2, 500 extra I got a 6yrs/72, 000 miles bumper to bumper warranty. Hard to beat.

The no haggle price changes, mine started at 17896, and over the course of 6 weeks it dropped to 14500, for a 2018 Ford Taurus Limited, 42384 miles. I would recommend it to everyone to look at Hertz when buying a used car.

I and wife just purchased a 2019 Kia Sorento from the Hertz Corporation in Beverton Or. We'd like to thank Mr. Dennis Druck for all his helpfulness in this no haggel car buying . We have Purchased Hertz rental before but from car dealerships. Always
have been good cars, burying form hertz was a big savings and Sales man Dennis was tops so happy we did all on line than
road trip to Beaverton pick it up . was great.

Trying the rent to buy at Hertz this Saturday and test drive a suv and will give you all an update next Monday on my experience. I selected a 2019 Nissan Rogue S.

I am planning to buy in an Avalon from Hertz. A 2018 Avalon with 35, 000 miles cost only $18, 000. That is about $7000 under the market price. Even if the engine goes out I can replace the engine for less than that amount money. People who rent an Avalon are probably older or conservative in driving.

Your way of analyzing your purchase was right on.
Also, rental companies sale their best vehicles. The less desirable vehicles are sold at auctions.

Very accurate review from my experience also. Just purchased a 2017 Toyota Corolla from Hertz a few weeks ago. I search for a Corolla for several weeks at dealership used car lots, generic used car lot, CarMax, etc. Everything I saw was more expensive and most were the cheaper LE trim. I got the better SE trim for less and a newer model.
I also would add, for mine at least, the interior still has something of a fresh (almost new) smell to it. I would attribute it to the fact that most people do not “move in” to rental cars like they would their own car.

Thank you for sharing, I was debating on buying a rental car, because heard mix opinion. But, your point on people who rent a car usually don't want to get penalty if they damage the car.

I bought a rental car a while back and had zero problems. The car had less than 18K. It ended up being sold to a family member who had no major problems either. I would think twice about buying a rental car with high mileage.

Paid 30k for a 40k Chevy Silverado. No dealer and junk fees included. Will probably buy from Hertz and or Enterprise again.
