I've literally never wanted a new bike more! I love the new Slash but need an ebike due to dodgy knees (amongst other things! LOL) so seeing that bike with a motor is just fantastic!

Awesome! And thanks for asking about the frame only option, if more people keep asking maybe they will change this sooner than later 👍🏽🍺

@theloamwolf can you include the kenevo sl1.2 in your SL enduro round up ???

Sizing is always so tough for us 5’10 folk… for that reason, I’ve loved how trek made the M/L. Really unfortunate it isn’t available in the Slash+. Do yall think the mullet setup along, chain stay length, and lightweight motor vibes means if you’re in between sizes you could go with the large and still maintain the nimbleness on slower, techier descents?

I have a large timp peak now and it feels like a tank to maneuver on some tighter gnarlier tech trails here in the PNW. I think I’d like the slash+ more but again sizing is so hard to determine

Thats a sweet bike but the price is insulting especially when you can get a yt for nearly half the price.

The updated upper idler has been released for a few weeks and is considered warranty. If you have a slash go to a trek store and get your replacement idler.

Love seeing more competition in the 170mm SL category, but this Trek is $4k more than an equivalent Transition Relay. Makes me happy I bought a Relay when I did, best bike I’ve ever owned.

One hit on wooden stair and that skid plate broke. I even broke the bash guard after walking speed hit on rock. It never happened to me on older bike. I asked Trek about it and they said it is meant to break. Seems they forgot to include in that in the commercial info like "really rough terrain" or "Integrated armor An impact-resistant Carbon Armor laminate under the paint adds extended durability on carbon Slash+ models".

Any time Aspekt on when a longer review or comparison of the motors is coming?
The Slash + does really seem very interesting if the TQ can Handle long climbs.

MX wheel is the best set up you could use on EBIKES, i own a sc bullit cc & yeti 160e and deff prefer the bullit

Did they metnion the weight of the drive unit + battery. Would be interesting to compare weights of normal slash and slash+ without battery.

Thanks, looking forward to hear and see more from yourselves as I've got my eye on this bike, aside from all the sales-word bullshit bingo you get from most bike reviewers you guys seem to give the honest thoughts and feedback good or bad. I think it might be just what I'm after to replace a full power gen 3 Levo, although some of the newer DJI and ZF offerings are interesting.

This is an enduro god basically. Impressive bike. I have 2022 Slash 9.8 xt and rail 2024 9.8 gx, This slash is like combo of both with some compromises. I can imagine what this bike feels like. Its probably an animal in enduro riding, but i think the power output could be a bit higher. 50 NM is good, but i think it would suck to change from my 85 NM on rail to 50 NM. I already felt this when i changed back to my Slash after a while on rail. The lack of power really affected me. I think on big power nervious system kinda visually and neurologically adapts to the power of the bike. So when you go back, your perception is so messed up the non power bike feels terrible. My slash felt like the breaks were on and pedaling seemed like a nightmare. I pretty much now use slash only for downhill. Slash is about 10kg less and the weight felt much lighter than usual though. I think this bike is great, but for me i probably will wait until we get light ebikes with 85 NM power and atleast 600w. If this bike had same weight but 85 nm and 600-700W. I wont hesistate for a moment.

Does the chain drop like the acoustic slash?

I would be cool to see a comparison between E-bikes and their analogue counterpart. Slash and the Slash +., Wreckoning and Epocalypse, Sentinel and Repeater, etc..

I wonder if the larger battery will fit into the Exe???

Since this comes as mullet and assuming the speedometer reads accurate, hope they can make this setting avaliable for the fuel exe as when running mullet on that bike you lose a bit of top end speed due to the computer thinking it's a 29er on the back.

Nice bike, seems fun to ride for sure
Now we have choice between: Mondraker Dune, Transition Relay and this one
I'd like to get an SL but with dji motor and weight of the whole system coming in the next years idk
I hope you will get the Dune for testing!
