When using Melee duplicate, there's a misconception where modding around, under or at 100% is advised, but that cannot be further from the truth.

Melee duplicate can orange crit if your crit chance is over 100% but below 200%, if the first hit is a yellow, then the 2nd hit has a chance to be either yellow as well, or orange.

Which means that modding around 125-150 crit is actually the best range for melee duplicate to perform, instead of just yellow only aka below 100% crit.

Voruna is what you want for melee duplicate. Her first means all your hits are 100% crit chance with any mods

melee duplicate imo is the most insanely MID arcane this game has ever seen... solid 3/10 when we have things like exposure, influence and crescendo fr.. glad i sold all the duplicates ive gotten since it released for like 30-40p until recently when the price on them started dropping "probably because people realizing how actually bad the arcane really is compared to others that are more common than it"

I love this mod, I've been doing a bunch of testing since I first got it and it's such a good slash generator. It complimented my preferred weapons so much with a little adjustment to reduce the crit rate.

It definitely confused me at first too, but it gave me so many more free mod slots to make it better.

Another thing to note is that because it rerolls your hit and doesnt actually duplicate it, if you have over 100% crit and hit a yellow crit, the Melee Duplicate hit can actually Orange Crit when the first hit didn't! This makes it hella good when you get to the 130-ish crit chance range since the only outcomes are double yellow, yellow+orange, or single orange which are all pretty good :)

I honestly prefer melee vortex for normal and higher level gameplay. I understand why it's used so much like melee influence is but the other arcanes deserve their props too. Nothing against you though. You're awesome bro.

So running less then 100% Xata makes your duplicate hit weaker? Thats so weird. Is this the one instence where not having a seperate damage instance is actually better?

They must of fixed it because before it only hit a second time on its own. IMO it’s a attack speed when it’s auto melee already

Melee duplicate is super strong but not for every weapon. Lets take kronen prime or gunsen prime has an example
Weaping wound+galvanized elementalist = 2 hit and 4 bleed slash procs. That is bonkers.

Now i wonder how it works with quassus prime heavy attack

Does meleee duplicate work with shattering impact? Gun blades?

Attack with any weapon from invisibility and you will get yellow crits.

What sort of weapons suit it best? You'd want a certain kind of build for it. Blood Rush and Gladiator set, for example might invalidate the effect. I guess you'd just want anything where the modded crit chance is between, say, 75 and 100. Much past 100 and you'll be into irange crit territory
