Love of Quilting: How to Make the Milky Way Quilt (2003)

Episode 2003: Mary Fons drew inspiration for her quilt from Liz Porter’s Milky Way quilt, with her own twist added to it. Mary and Liz both started out with basically the same pattern. A few changes here and there make for two very different quilts. Mary and Liz show you how to design your own version of this quilt and demonstrate cutting squares and triangles from the same strip. Andromeda by Mary Fons was quilted by LuAnn Downs. It is featured in Easy Quilts Fall 2012 issue. Milky Way by Liz Porter is featured in the May/June 2012 issue of Love of Quilting.
